Our Quality Assurance Process

Quality assurance is at the heart of what we do, ensuring we deliver solutions that will protect and enhance our clients’ reputations.

As founding members of the International Carbon Reduction and Offset Alliance (ICROA) we comply with the ICROA Code of Best Practice through an annual audit. The CarbonNeutral Protocol, which we launched in 2002 to establish the global standard for certifying claims of net zero carbon emissions, is updated annually to reflect the latest industry and scientific best practice. For the last seven years our commitment to quality and innovation has been recognised by our peers with the Best Offset Retailer award.

All offset projects are verified to recognised third-party standards

  • We conduct a detailed due diligence review of every project to ensure we only contract with the highest quality
  • We complete an evaluation of the beyond carbon benefits delivered by projects to understand how they align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
  • Carbon credits are only issued once an independent validation and verification of the project has taken place, ensuring that a real reduction in emissions has occurred
  • Once a carbon credit has been purchased by a business, it is “retired” on a third party registry and no longer available for sale, enabling the business to count that reduction towards its emission reduction target.

Our calculators follow best practice methodologies

  • Our carbon footprint calculators are powered by Carbon Analytics - a third-party data engine - to ensure results are independently calculated
  • Required data and the associated calculations comply with the quality requirements of the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard and The CarbonNeutral Protocol
  • Our calculators undergo an annual health check to ensure smooth and accurate performance
  • We complete an annual audit on a sample of completed footprint assessments to ensure calculations and certifications are accurate.
